Meet the Creator
I'm a retired teacher and full-time grandmother—my grandkids call me LeeLee!
Creative Play by LeeLee came about kind of by accident. I've always loved arts and crafts, and every time I spent time with my grandchildren, we would create together. They especially loved playing with homemade dough, so I was always testing new recipes, trying to find something that would really spark their senses.
I started putting together themed miniature toys for them to explore with the dough, and before long, I was storing everything in little kits. My daughter began giving these homemade kits as birthday presents, and soon parents started asking, "Where did you get this kit?" That's how Creative Play by LeeLee was born!
My goal now is to help other parents and grandparents bring sensory play into their homes. Dough, slime, and sand all promote tactile experiences for children of all ages. These kits encourage the development of fine motor skills, creativity, and language—and they're great for social interaction too!
